The Scrolls in the following photographs are all authentic Hebrew Scrolls. The Scrolls vary in age from 1923 back to the 1500s. They are written on parchment (sheep skin, goat skin, deer skin) and vellum (calf skin).
None of the Scrolls are kosher and were purchased when they could no longer be repaired for synagogue use. The main reasons for them no longer being kosher is caused by iron gall ink degradation and also mistreatment in the Holocaust.
The photo shown above was taken at Eucon International School on the Island of Saipan. Dr Wei is showing Chinese Pastors some fragments of Hebrew scrolls.
