Not even the “best of the best” could go to to Heaven without the shed blood of Jesus The Messiah.
“Born Again”
OK, Now what? What do we do next?
What does God expect of His children? To Grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We grow in the Lord.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint–heirs with Christ; Romans 8:14-17
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 1 Corinthians 3:2
Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:11-14
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. 1 Peter 2:2-3
The Feast of Shavuot is designed for us to grow in the Lord. Before its fulfillment grow in the Law, after its fulfillment, grow in grace.
No one expects a baby to be “grown up” doing things like an adult. They are watched, loved and cared for. They are precious.
Newborn Christians should not expect to be “grown up” doing things like an adult. They should be watched, loved, and cared for. They are precious. Be careful how hard you come down on God’s children.
Young men and young ladies are a joy when under supervision they start doing great things. We like to watch them and encourage them. Often they ask, how am I doing, how do I look, how was that? Quite soon they will be leaders.
As we grow in the Lord we are able to overcome many of our sins and live for the Lord.
Will there ever come a time in your life that you will say, I have enough for myself and I want to help others? That is what a good Mother or Father would want to do. We need people who care for other people.
There should come a time in our Christian life that we start caring for others rather than just ourselves.
As you grow in the Lord, be careful who you find fault with or who you want to be like. We should only do as the Scripture says: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” Hebrews 12:2 Everyone else still lives in a sinful body.Acts 1:1-8
The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up,after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The harvest plays a big part in the feast of Shavuot, Pentecost. The harvest of souls started on the day of Pentecost.
It has been God’s plan from creation to redeem the people of the Earth. The nations had to know and believe that redemption came from: Only One God Only One Savior 1Kings 8:60 That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.Isaiah 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
On the day of Pentecost it started. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8
And when the day of 50 was fully come … Acts 2:1, 41 the same day there were added unto them about THREE THOUSAND SOULS.
At the feast of Shavuot The harvest started moving from town to town, region to region, country to country, language to language throughout the world.
The harvest is a great task reaching out to many different cultures and languages. There is room for all workers who the Lord has equipped with special talents. When a person accepts Jesus as their Savior many times the person who is actually with that person at the moment of salvation is praised as a special person, a “soul winner”. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are all entered into this task and only the Lord should be praised.
Be careful if YOU decide another Christian’s talent is not necessary.
We are all very important in the harvest. Everyone is necessary to produce a harvest.God chose a people to receive and record His word, the Jews “unto them were committed the oracles of God”.From them and their language the world can now read the Word of God.All languages of the world will be reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but we have one root through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
We are still in the harvest until the next feast.
This feast of Shavuot has lasted over 2,000 years.
